Welcome to Tierra Verde
A Genuine Island Paradise
Known as the gateway to Ft DeSoto and the home of the Grand Canal, Tierra Verde is an island community unlike any other. Its location near the Pinellas Bayway makes getting in and out a breeze, so residents who want to work, travel or visit the vibrancy of downtown St. Petersburg prefer it as a home base.
Tierra Verde's Grand Canal is the Gulf Coast's premier boating water. Built by the Army Corp of Engineers, the canal is extra wide and deep, so you can dock your yacht of almost any size if you are fortunate enough to own waterfront property there. At one end of the canal is the open Gulf of Mexico and the Intracoastal Waterway, and at the other you'll find fuel and sundries at the famous Port 32 Marina. It truly is a boater's paradise.
